About the Española Valley Opera Guild
Española Valley Opera Guild volunteers participate in education and community outreach programs focused on our Valley's youth. Guild programs and activities help introduce a new generation to the music of The Santa Fe Opera.

* Youth Essay Contest
A Youth Essay Contest is held each spring soliciting essays from Española and Pojoaque Valley schools on "Why I would like to take my family to The Santa Fe Opera." This year 14 winners will be provided tickets for 4 members of their family to attend a Youth Night at the Opera performance of The Marriage of Figaro on June 25th. All will also be invited to our annual "Top Hats and Tiaras" dessert tailgate to celebrate the winners before the opera.

* Summer Membership Party (Look out for the 2013 date!)
Our annual party was held on Saturday August 4th 2012 in the home of one of our members. Everyone was invited to bring their favorite appetizer and also their favorite friend! This will feature a performance by a Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Singer. (photo, right, shows a summer gathering at Anthony's at the Delta.)
2013 Summer Tailgate and SFO outing
Our annual tailgate party will be before the performance of The Marriage of Figaro on Saturday, August 3rd. There's always an abundance of delicious potluck dishes and merriment. Members can purchase reserved block tickets for this performance through EVOG at a discounted price.
